World Explorer PREMIUM App Reviews

While it has an astonishing amount of information, you have to want what it has -- it isnt very flexible in giving you what you want… and it isnt all that easy to use. It is hard to navigte back to a former screen, hard to navigate with the map because the map is so small and fixed in the Premium (while it was easy to enlarge and use in the other version -- go figure!) and the info from Wikipedia is great in depth as always, but should be only as intrusive as you ask, not sitting like a huge block of over-kill data with no easy way to move from screen to screen. What I am most disappointed in is the inability of use the little eye-level figure on the map effectively because driving the map is unstable, jumping in and out in scale, and here in the Premium version on so tiny a frame. The idea behind the app is really great and almost delivers but as it is now, I would really like my money back!

I liked World Explorer so I thought I would like Premium even more -NOT! On my iMac (Lion) once I changed the window size vertically and/or horizontally, Premium opened next time with a lot of blank grey space at the top and/or right side of the window with previous unexpanded material below and/or left - WHAT? Not ready for prime-time! Other than that …

so I just checked this app out and in just the minutes I was tooling with it Ive learned so much history of the current area! the maps are very helpful! makes you want to get out there and "see it for yourself!"

I cant uninstall this app. The UI is very old fashioned and hard to read

I like it because I look for the places I have traveled, which reminds me. The only thing to improve is the way toward, as it sometimes is not where you want to go.

Recently purchased this app. Its priced right along with a wide scope of places around the world. Offers various languages to choose from, and overall its a very helpful travel companion.

I have just begun to scratch the surface of what I expect to get from this product. It appears to have a tremendous amount of information on various world-wide locations that I have been able to visit or plan to visit. A review of places visited and a planning tool for places to visit makes for a happy traveller. Thanks for opening the door to the world!

I rarely if ever write reviews of apps. This one, however, really irritates the crap out of me. I purchased the "premium" version to get full content and no ads. What I get in return are popup windows pushing their multiple other apps, and to "like" them on Facebook or twitter, etc. Incredibly juvenile and annoying. The app would have rated higher, it is enjoyable, but for this. I would encourage folks to NOT buy this app until they remove the advertising crap….

Have been looking into digital encyclopedia’s in which you won’t get much more than this type of info. Some places are missing info but not the apps fault. I was surprised to find so much about the tiny town that I live in. Well worth the money and as I do not travel much, I love historical info which makes this app a great cheaper route than any digital encyclopedia.

Great and fun app. I like the photo-text combinations. Can’t wait to get into it some more.
